Catoosa County, in conjunction with CHI Memorial, Dade and Walker Counties, hosted a Facebook Live COVID-19 Press Conference on March 27th, 2020 on the Catoosa County Government's Facebook Page. In this video, health professionals working on the front-lines of the COVID-19 outbreak work to provide factual information about the virus and dispel any misinformation. In addition, they also take questions from the community.

Due to the spread of the Coronavirus, and our commitment to keep our staff and the public as safe as possible until it subsides, the Tax Commissioners Office is temporarily suspending in-person services at our main office in Ringgold and our Fort Oglethorpe office is temporarily closed starting Monday, March 23rd. This includes motor vehicle customer service and property tax customers. While we will be closed to the public, we will continue to process work that is dropped off, mailed, and initiated through e-Services.
Due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the Georgia Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) is providing various automatic extensions for Georgia motorists. All vehicle registrations that expire between March 16, 2020 and May 14, 2020 have been extended through May 15, 2020.
This extension applies to:
Vehicle registrations that expire between March 16, 2020 and May 14, 2020
Temporary Operating Permits (TOPs) with an expiration date of March 16, 2020 or later
Drivers who purchased the vehicle in a private sale (sale not involving a licensed dealer or broker) on or after March 16, 2020. Police offer MAY ask to see the Bill of Sale to confirm purchase date. This exception DOES NOT apply to purchases made from or through a motor vehicle dealer or broker.
Registrations that expire BEFORE March 16, 2020, do not qualify for this extension.

The phone number the text message is coming from does not belong to the Tax Commissioner. Please be advised that the Tax Commissioners office will never send out text messages in regards to official tax business. Thank you! ***

Information regarding student meal delivery/pick-up:
Beginning April 6, each Monday we are closed, meals for a week will be available at LFO High School from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
For families who do not have transportation to LFO High School, Meal Delivery will be provided. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 706-965-0266 and provide Name, Address, Phone Number, and the Number of Children needing meals.
Due to the statewide public health emergency declared by Governor Brian Kemp, City Hall will be closed to all public access until further notice. Utility bills can be paid via the website, by calling City Hall or by automatic draft.
Citations can be paid via the website or by calling 1-844-214-8589.

Effective March 23rd, all City of Fort Oglethorpe Offices and Buildings are CLOSED to the general public due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
